SQUARE ENIX CONTINUES TO EXPAND NORTH AMERICAN EXECUTIVE TEAM

Ami Blaire Joins as Vice President of Marketing

LOS ANGELES (June 19, 2009) — Square Enix, Inc., the publisher of Square Enix® interactive entertainment products in North America, announced that it has strengthened its executive team with the addition of Ami Blaire as vice president of marketing.

Blaire now leads brand and marketing strategy for Square Enix and will also be responsible for the Square Enix Members site and online commerce. She will work to increase the presence of Square Enix in North America and emphasize community engagement to ensure that the company is meeting the needs of its most important constituents, the fans.

Blaire brings over 18 years of experience in consumer marketing and was previously the vice president of integrated marketing at Vivendi Games, where she drove all integrated marketing functions and lifestyle marketing platforms for all four business units – Sierra Entertainment, Sierra Online, Vivendi Games Mobile and Blizzard. Prior to joining Vivendi Games, Blaire was the global marketing director of Xbox LIVE® Marketplace for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft at the Interactive Entertainment Division, where she launched Xbox LIVE Marketplace for Xbox 360.

An accomplished brand marketing and business development executive with extensive experience in the interactive entertainment industry, Blaire has also served as director of marketing at Sony Computer Entertainment America and has worked with Sega of America and SNK Home Entertainment.
