SQUARE ENIX LAUNCHES THE FINAL FANTASY XIV COLLECTOR'S EDITION

Highly Anticipated MMORPG Launches on the PC with Exclusive Bonus Items

LOS ANGELES (September 22, 2010) — Today, Square Enix, Inc., the publisher of Square Enix® interactive entertainment products in North America, announced that FINAL FANTASY® XIV COLLECTOR'S EDITION has launched for Windows® PC. Offering players early access to the game, this Collector's Edition also comes with other perks, including an in-game item, a behind-the-scenes DVD and more. With language support in Japanese, English, French and German, the adventure begins anew in the vast realm of Eorzea!



The FINAL FANTASY XIV COLLECTOR’S EDITION welcomes aspiring heroes and explorers alike with highly exclusive bonus items, including:

  • Eight days early access prior to the release of the Standard Edition
  • The exclusive in-game item Onion Helm item
  • A behind-the-scenes DVD featuring insight from the development team
  • A FINAL FANTASY XIV branded Security Token

The FINAL FANTASY XIV COLLECTOR'S EDITION is available now for $74.99, and includes one playable character and 30 days of free access. After the free period, the regular 30-day subscription fee will be $12.99. Each additional character will be $3.00 per period, with a maximum of eight playable characters per account. Depending on the service period length selected, service fee discounts can apply.



The standard edition of FINAL FANTASY XIV will be available for the PC on September 30, 2010. The PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system version of FINAL FANTASY XIV is currently under development with a scheduled launch of early March 2011.
