LOS ANGELES (February 28, 2011) Square Enix, Inc., — the publisher of SQUARE ENIX® interactive entertainment products in the Americas, announced that it has strengthened its executive team with the addition of Mona Hamilton as vice president of marketing.
Hamilton will lead marketing and public relations strategy for Square Enix, responsible for the broad portfolio of market leading franchises and games under the SQUARE ENIX, EIDOS® and TAITO® brands.

Hamilton joins Square Enix with over fifteen years of experience in product marketing, development, management and buying in the interactive and consumer entertainment industry. She was most recently vice president of marketing for Capcom Entertainment, Inc., where she led all marketing efforts for Capcom in North America. With deep expertise in the gaming industry, Hamilton was previously also vice president of marketing for Midway Games, Inc. and a group brand manager at Ubisoft Entertainment. She has worked on an array of acclaimed video game brands and best selling franchises.
An industry veteran with a track record of success at both Japanese and U.S. companies, Hamilton's background is in consumer packaged goods, where she worked in product development and buying within the gift and toy industries.
Ami Blaire, previously vice president of marketing, will be taking on a new role as vice president leading the online content and commerce operations for Square Enix, Inc.
